SIAM KUBOTA TARGETS MINI EXCAVATOR MARKET CONSTECH 2012 is hoped to drive sale of mini excavators to reach 1,000 by year end

Bangkok--28 Jun--124 Communications

SIAM KUBOTA Corporation Co., Ltd. is targeting mini excavator market by pushing sales of its 3-tonne, 5-tonne and 8-tonne excavators for small scale construction for factory, industrial and agricultural use. Thailand is aimed to be the center of Asean outreach, with an aim to sell 1,000 mini excavators by the end of this year. Mr. Chamornwut Tamnarnchit, Marketing Division Manager of SIAM KUBOTA Corporation Co., Ltd., said “SIAM KUBOTA sees the potential in the mini excavator market in Thailand, as it can be used in small scale construction such as home building, plumbing system setup or construction in areas that big excavators cannot enter. Most vehicles used in this sector are usually second-hand vehicles imported from overseas, and due to their condition, their capacity is limited. They also come with high maintenance fees and need to be fixed constantly. Spare parts of second hand machineries are hard to find as well as expensive. These factors result in increasing demand for new vehicles. Moreover, homes need to be repaired and prepared for flooding or other reasons. The government and private sectors are also having many projects in this year, so we believe that there is room for growth in this sector.” KUBOTA mini excavators are the best-sellers worldwide compared to other mini excavators. They are imported from Japan, so the quality and technology are guaranteed. Its after-sale services are extended nationwide, and the financial assistance offered by SIAM KUBOTA Leasing provides choices in purchasing the vehicles affordably. These factors make SIAM KUBOTA’s mini excavators a highly competitive product and its market share should be number one in the Thai market. After research and testing the market in Thailand for three years, we have received very positive feedback, especially in Bangkok and major provinces. This year, we are going full-on with our marketing efforts, and we are planning to increase our dealers from 50 to 60 for nationwide coverage. At the end of this year, we are aiming to sell 1,000 mini excavators and in the third quarter we will launch a new model, which is the new smallest mini excavator available in the Thai market. This model will be presented in CONSTECH 2012 from September 19th – 21st, 2012 at Impact Muang Thong Thani. The company is an official sponsor of CONSTECH 2012, which is the biggest event that showcases construction machinery in Thailand. Its aim is to raise and create awareness among construction companies and investors. We are confident that our pricing is competitive enough to attract industrial investors. About SIAM KUBOTA’s mini excavators SIAM KUBOTA’s mini excavators are the best-selling in the world due to the durability and compact size. At present, there are five models. - Three-tonne excavator, 2 models: KX91-3 and KX91-3S2 - Five-tonne excavator, 2 models: KX161-3 and KX161-3S - Eight-tonne excavator: 1 model: KX080 The advantage of mini excavator is its compact size and light weight, making it suitable for small-scale construction site, such as home building, plumbing system set up or construction in areas that cannot be reached by big excavators. It can also be used in factories with limited space, or agricultural fields that want light-weight excavators that will not pressure the soil. -KPA- Click for photo release at www.thaipr.net
