Thailand's Kasikorn Bank to Expand ATM Fleet with Wincor Nixdorf's ATMs

Germany-based technology provider to supply enhanced security features to the Thailand-based bank

Wincor Nixdorf, one of the world's leading providers of IT solutions and services to retail banks and retailers, has inked a deal to supply 281 units of ProCash 1500xe ATMs to Kasikorn Bank in Thailand.

Kasikorn Bank is one of the largest commercial banks in Thailand and has a vision to be the most innovative and proactive bank in the country. It serves its customers through more than 800 bank branches and country-wide network of branch and offsite ATMs.

This ProCash 1500xe deal which includes both front-load and rear-load systems is aimed at expanding the bank's ATM network as well as replacing some of the old models. The deployment is targeted to be completed by June 2012 across the capital Bangkok as well as Khonkhen and Chiang Mai Province in the north of the country.

All the ProCash 1500xe ATMs are fitted with embedded portrait and cash slot cameras which provide additional security to both users and banks by recording users' features and whether money was removed from the machine in the event that a cash-out transaction dispute arises.

This is Wincor Nixdorf's first ATM deal with Kasikorn Bank which includes the delivery of nationwide onsite service.
