Reflecting Asia's Importance to Client Businesses, Spencer Stuart Locates Senior Management Team Member to Hong Kong

Spencer Stuart, a leading global executive search consulting firm, today announced that Simon Fenton -- who oversees the firm's business in the strategic growth markets of Brazil, India and China, as well as its global industry and functional practices -- has relocated to Hong Kong. He was previously based in the United Kingdom.

The move not only reflects the growing importance of Asia to a wide range of multinational businesses but also the growing talent demands that many of the region's domestic companies are now facing. In addition to his broader management responsibilities, Fenton will also assume the role of Chairman of the firm's Greater China business, directly leading operations there.

"From Hong Kong I will also be able to spend more time with our clients in the region and play a more direct role in the development of our business in China," said Mr. Fenton. "We currently have long-established offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and a growing team of consultants with deep expertise in the leadership needs across virtually all major industries. Fenton will also continue to focus on ensuring that the deep capabilities and knowledge available across Spencer Stuart's portfolio of industry and functional specialty practices are fully accessible to clients both within critical growth markets such as China, India and Brazil as well as more globally.

Prior to assuming the role of managing director, strategic markets and practices for Spencer Stuart in 2010, Fenton led Spencer Stuart's business across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. Previously, he led the firm's UK business. He is a member of Spencer Stuart's management team and also of the firm's Financial Services Practice, where he focuses mainly on senior-level appointments within asset management and wealth management, as well as other sectors within the practice. Mr. Fenton is also a member of the firm's Board Services Practice.

Spencer Stuart opened its Hong Kong office in 1977, later establishing offices in Shanghai in 1994 and Beijing in 1995. The Spencer Stuart team in Greater China now numbers more than 50, including 14 senior consultants across the Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong offices.
