inFASH is to host INTERCOLOR Conference Bangkok 2010 for AW2012/13 during November 28 – December 2, 2010 at Bangkok Art and Culture Center, expecting color gurus from 9 member countries around the world to join and bring about the trend of color schemes, mood & tone, materials and inspiration behind them which will be used in many industry during Autumn/Winter 2012/13, or 24 months before the season arrives.
Mr. Pradit Ratanawijitrasilp, Executive Director of Thailand Institute of Fashion Research (inFASH), Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep reveals that Thailand is the first in South East Asia to hold the INTERCOLOR Conference and the third in Asia, after China and Japan.
During closed sessions of the conference, in which only 2 representatives from each member country allowed to participate, interdisciplinary group of color experts will exchange points of view to give direction and identify the color trend of the world in the next couple years. The conclusion from the conference will come in form of so-called “Intercolor Color Card” containing ‘an essence’ of all the ideas ranging from color scheme, inspirations, material and general development in lifestyle to be adapted and used in trend development in many relating fields such as textile, apparel, fashion or such industries as automotive.
“Nevertheless, to interact with people outside the color experts, there will be one –and the only- seminar in this conference that is designed and opened to public. It is called ‘Local Colour Concepts Influence International Trend,’ in which nine color experts will present their ideas on how local unique culture and lifestyle can influence international trend in this globalized era. Making presentation in the seminar will be representatives from China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Portugal and Thailand,” adds Mr. Pradit. “Attending this seminar, participants will be able to foresee the trend of the world and understand how creativeness plays a part in translating “local color” into inspiration and eventually a content to be used in reality around the world.”
The “Local Colour Concepts Influence International Trend” will take place on Monday November 29, 2010 from 9.30 am -12.45 pm at Bangkok Art and Culture Center. Tickets are available at inFASH at 1,000 baht, including Trend Book of 2012, value of THB 5,000.
