South-east Asia’s biggest football tournament takes centre stage this December as ESPN STAR Sports, Asia’s biggest sports content provider, showcases all 18 matches from the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup live on its ESPN and STAR Sports networks.
Expectations will be high on Vietnam to defend their title this year, they will be grouped with Singapore, Myanmar and the Philippines in Group B. Thailand, runner-up from the 2008 championship and regional favourites, will face a tough group with Malaysia, Indonesia and Laos in Group A all eyeing to progress into the semi-finals.
Indonesia and Vietnam will host the preliminary stage from 1 to 7 December for Group A and 2 to 8 December for Group B. The semi-finals will be played home and away with the first legs on 15 and 16 December 2010, and the second legs on 18 and 19 December 2010. The final will be played over two legs on 26 December 2010 and 29 December 2010.
