Thailand’s leading English language school for adults, Wall Street Institute has made a new contribution to the Thai society by awarding scholarships to students from Faculty of Education, Rajabhat Suan Sunanta University and Rajabhat Ban Pra Nakorn University Rachapat University under the “Mae Pim Thai Pua Por II” (Teacher-To-Be Scholarship Program in Honor of The King) scholarship program. Students who are selected will receive one-year course at WSI. “Throughout five years of establishment in Thailand, Wall Street Institute has continuously received great support from Thai students who want to improve their English skills and to speak English with more confidence. To mark our 5th anniversary and to reward our truly supporters, WSI wants to make a contribution to the Thai society by giving what we are good at, that is, teaching English to Thai people,” said Mr. Michel Le Quellec, Director of Wall Street Institute (Thailand).
Mr. Michel Le Quellec added that more than 10,000 students from WSI can practice their English skills better, especially in their work places. Hence, WSI sees the importance of teachers’ roles in educating children who will be the next generation to develop the country. “The criterion for selecting the scholarship students is their determination to become teachers in the future. We also hope that this project will create great benefit in the long run”, said Mr. Michel Le Quellec.
Prior to its phase 2 project, Wall Street Institute’s scholarships were awarded to participants in the development programme for new-generation executives in 2005 as well as university students from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, under the Mae Pim Thai Pua Por scholarship program in 2007. Wall Street Institute is one of the premiere global brands in the English language instruction market with a 35-year track record of educating more than a million students worldwide. With more than 350 learning centers in 26 countries around the world, every year more than 150,000 people successfully learn English at Wall Street Institute. In Bangkok, WSI has 5 centers - on Silom road, in Ladprao, near Siam Square, at Major Pinklao – with a recently opened at Seacon Square.
