Mr. Alan C. Anastacio, Regional Commercial Manager, Brown-Forman Thailand L.L.C., the brand owner and sole importer of Finlandia Vodka, the most famous premium vodka from Finland, has revealed that Finlandia has achieved its target of 15% growth last year and expected 20% growth this year, while the total white spirit market was projected to grow by 14%, since the market was expanded with activities for consumers and bartenders.
In addition to the existing flavor, Classic, Lime and Cranberry, Finlandia has planned to launch new flavor, Mango Fusion, to Thai market, following the great respond from other countries and good respond from the sale in the duty free shops in Thailand.
He added that Brown-Forman has the ongoing program for Bartenders, including the Finlandia Pure Bartending Competition 2006.
The company has cooperated with Thailand Flair Bartender Association (TFBA), and www.flairbartenderclub.com , to recruit Thailand’s representative from numbers of contestants from leading hotels, Bars, Pubs and restaurants in Bangkok and the South and the East of Thailand, to join the international bartending competition, the Asia Pacific Cocktail 2006, in Singapore.
This activity aims at increasing the bartender’s brand awareness and recognition of Finlandia Vodka, and enhancing their good relationship with Brown-Forman, as well as to increase the sales volume of the brand.
Besides the activities with bartenders, Finlandia will hold the direct activities with consumers, i.e., fashion shows and other exciting on premise promotions.
“Finlandia is currently one of the market leader in Thailand in terms of volume and we are optimistic that we will have ongoing annual growth of at least 20% with our variety of marketing activities. We also planned to expand our target audiences with many activities relevant to our target consumer,” concluded Alan.
