Siemens mobile introduces the ST60 with video messaging technology - targeting young workforce entrants
Siemens Mobile Phones has launched the new slinky Siemens ST60. The phone captures and sends video, has a digital camera with 4x zoom and a large brilliant 65K display for young adults who want to communicate everything instantly.
Mrs. Suwannee Singluedej, Vice President, Mobile Phones, Siemens Limited said: "The small (87grams) ST60, with its sleek lines and lustrous metallic finish, is as smart as it is sexy. Siemens' latest integrated camera phone not only captures video, but it also has a 4x zoom for more detailed digital still pictures as fast as 6 frames/second and a large color screen that lets users create emotive MMS, SMS and e-mail messages for friends or family."
Despite its diminutive dimensions, Siemens ST60 hosts a compelling range of clever 'life management' tools - including email, detailed address book, organizer with reminder functions, currency converter, calculator and more. And these functions are easy to use and access thanks to a simple 5-way joystick navigator.
"The launch of ST60 is in response to the growing demand for color-screen handsets in the market. Siemens Mobile Phones always aims to perfectly match its customers lifestyles. With its outstanding 65,536-color screen and a full set of features and applications, Siemens ST60 is the best companion for the young generation as it helps those first "jobbers" to combine a working lifestyle with their leisure activities," added, Mrs. Suwannee.
To make it reflect their personality, users can personalize the ST60 with the unique polyphonic melody composer, or the pre-installed 40-tone sound quality polyphonic ring tones, or downloading tones and Java applications fast from the web sites thanks to WAP 2.0 and the latest GPRS technology. And of course there are Javaไ based strategy and action games like arcade classic Tertis for gaming fans.
In addition, ST60 users can also enjoy the ultimate wireless service from Mango, the first wireless Internet portal that is specifically designed and optimized for mobile phones. They can gain access to the most popular web sites and contents such as news, sports, business, fashion and travel, as well as check their stocks, horoscope, or e-cards. Besides, users can send or receive e-mails from Hotmail, Yahoo, Lycos, AOL, POP3 and IMAP and view attached files, graphic and images. They can also stay in touch with their friends and family through their MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, and AOL instant messaging service anywhere at anytime.
"The ST60 is available in Thailand at a price of 11,900 baht. Siemens Mobile Phones are confident this model will successfully reach our target market as we strive to bring the latest applications to our upcoming handset array and meet the various lifestyle preferences of our diversified target groups.", Mrs. Suwannee concluded.
