JUNIPER NETWORKS AND LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO DELIVER UNIFIED SOLUTIONS FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS

The two companies are introducing a set of unified solutions for deploying core, data, broadband and metro optical networks that support a range of revenue-generating services. Lucent Navisฎ integrated network management software will improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs. Focused on equipment market segments that combined will grow from an estimated $8.5 billion dollars in 2003 to $12.2 billion in 2005, these solutions help service providers maximize the return on their existing infrastructure, optimize future network investments and simplify the service delivery process. Leveraging its multi-protocol (TDM, FR/ATM, IP/MPLS) and multi-vendor capabilities, Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS) will support each of the solutions with network design, deployment and maintenance services to increase speed-to-market and reduce operational costs for service providers.
