The story revolves around the life of Mitsue, a young woman and a survivor of the bombing and her relationship with her father, Takezo. It is focuses on the issue of hibakusha, the survivors of the first atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945. These survivors not only had to deal with rebuilding their lives but also healing their hearts and their guilt for having survived their loved one. But with each passing year, their stories are being forgotten.
