Great Wall Motor Thanks Thais for Kind Contributions to GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER Campaign in Battle against COVID-19: Over 10,000 Food Boxes

GWM has realized that the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak has caused widespread impacts on people. The company has also recognized the increasing pressure and burdens on volunteer organizations, state agencies, and private entities, especially the frontline workers and medical personnel in such situation. GWM, therefore, has rolled out the "GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER" project in hopes of easing officials' burdens and helping all sectors in times of crisis.

Mr. Elliot Zhang, President of Great Wall Motor ASEAN and Thailand, said, "At such critical time, all of us must join hands in giving maximum help so that all sectors can return to normalcy as soon as possible. Our 'GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER' activities throughout August offered not just financial donation but also the free use of our vehicles to a volunteer network in support of food and relief-item deliveries to hospitals and COVID-hit communities. Our activities also reflected our recognition for officials working at charity networks, government agencies and private organizations. We would like to thank our employees, partners, media and supporters for supporting our project. We have recently supported small entrepreneurs by allowing them to promote their businesses on our online platform free-of-charge too. Moreover, we bought fruits from farmers to ease impacts from oversupply. In the future, GWM will continue to assist all sectors through our project and CSR activities. We are ready to stand by and cheer on Thais through any crisis".

The "GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER "project mobilized GWM executives and employees, partners and media to reach out to hospitals and more than 100 COVID-hit communities alongside Food For Fighters (FFF) volunteers in August. Throughout the month, more than 10,000 food boxes had been delivered to deserving recipients in Bangkok and adjacent provinces. GWM also deployed five All New HAVAL H6 Hybrid SUVs in support of the food deliveries, which recorded the combined distance of well over 10,000 kilometers.

In addition, GWM executives and employees from the company's Bangkok-based headquarters and Rayong-based plant delivered more than 460,000 surgical masks to over 29 government agencies in Bangkok and Rayong provinces. Among the recipients were the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), the Thailand Automotive Institute, the Land Transport Department, the Chulalongkorn University, the Thai Red Cross Society and the Pluak Daeng Hospital. Mask donations were made to boost the morale, safety and support for officials who have worked hard to facilitate public services. Additionally, GWM also helped Thailand's agricultural sector by purchasing 400 kilograms of mangosteen from southern farmers for distribution to people affected by COVID-19 outbreak in Bangkok and nearby provinces.

Furthermore, GWM offered "free online advertisement space" on its Facebook page: GWM Thailand, posted every week in August 2021. More than 260 small entrepreneurs including restaurant owners had promoted their businesses through this GWM platform. Moreover, GWM has regularly promoted information or activities related to COVID-19 assistance by charity networks on Facebook page: GWM Thailand. GWM also encouraged its customers and supporters to donate directly to Food For Fighters (FFF). In August, GWM partners and fans constantly donated money, food and necessities and provide voluntary supports to FFF. Donors could claim GWM Points from their donation, with every 1 baht donation equivalent to 1 GMW Point. These points can be used to claim souvenirs and services via GWM Application.

"GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER" project marks just a first step for GWM to ease the plight of people in various communities, to breathe new life to those in need, and to provide moral support to officials, entrepreneurs, farmers, and professionals in various occupational fields. GWM is truly grateful to media, partners, customers, and fans for supporting its project and giving it opportunities to do things that prove useful and deliver meaningful value to human race.
