New “Green” Rooms for Eco-Conscious Guests Unveiled at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok

          The Sukosol Hotel in Bangkok is pleased to offer our guests the chance to stay in one of our newly launched Premier Sustainability Rooms, which have been specially designed with sustainability in mind, whilst still delivering the luxury and comfort that our guests expect.
          Every Premier Sustainability Room incorporates a number of "eco" enhancements including:
          - All of the linens in the rooms are unbleached, to reduce the release of toxic chemicals into the environment,
          - Waste separation in the room with the provision of a recycling bin,
          - Eco-friendly, refillable and non-toxic guest amenities, including recycled paper packaging,
          - Window film and double glazing installed to reduce heat transfer from outside,
          - Energy efficient appliances, such as the LED television, absorption refrigerator and low-watt hairdryer,
          - Locally-sourced products in the minibar and seasonal fruits for VIP welcome.

          With the launch of the Premier Sustainability Rooms, The Sukosol is at the forefront of sustainable tourism in Thailand and this initiative comes at a time when guests are becoming increasingly conscious of their impact and how they can reduce their environmental footprint while travelling. 
          These initiatives are part of wider efforts to improve the sustainability of our hotel operations, which include eco-friendly features in all guest rooms such as air-conditioning thermostat control, electricity shutdown timer with a key-card system, LED lighting, water-efficient sinks, showers and toilets, tissues made from recycled pulp, and use of glass bottles for drinking water.
          This important step taken by The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok enables us to work constantly towards a brighter, safer future and to inspire our guests to make conscious sustainable choices with us and has led to the hotel winning a number of environmental awards and certificates including Green Hotel status from the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment and the ASEAN Green Hotel Standard.
