Trilliant honored for EVN and TNB projects at Asia Utility Week 2016 Awards
Two important energy infrastructure projects utilizing the Trilliant Smart Grid Communications Platform won top honors at Asian Utility Week 2Smart Communications16. Trilliant was honored with Ho Chi Minh Power Corporation in Vietnam (EVNHCMC) for the region's "Best Digital Transformation Project." Trilliant was also named with Malaysia's Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and other partners for the "Best Customer Value AMI Infrastructure Rollout."

The Asia Utility Week Conference attracted over 2,000 attendees and the awards dinner hosted 250 of Asia's most renowned industry professionals.
Tenaga Nasional Berhad won the "Best Customer Value AMI Infrastructure Rollout" award. Installation will begin this year in the state of Malacca as part of TNB's multi-year upgrade to smart meters/AMI, announced in 2014, to give customers greater control over their energy use.
This award celebrates the achievements within the past year of AMI Infrastructure and smart grid rollouts or comprehensive trials of integrated systems of smart meters, communications networks and data management systems. The judges looked at the following factors when making their decision:
- Whether the rollout offers superior customer value;
- Degree of interoperability, open architecture, system performance and security;
- Having the right product, servicing the customer properly and delivering in a timely fashion.
For this project, Trilliant delivered an end-to-end RF mesh communications platform for Ho Chi Minh City, providing a secure network connecting EVNHCMC's metering infrastructure with the "who's who" of global tech firms at Saigon Hi-Tech Park.
