Camilla reports to Ericsson’s President for South East Asia and Oceania, Arun Bansal, and takes over from Joacim Damgard, who now heads up UK and Ireland for the company. Prior to this new appointment, Camilla was the Head of Commercial Management in Western and Central Europe. Arun commented that "we are confident that Camilla will play a key role in strengthening our market leadership in Thailand. She brings a depth of experience that spans 18 years in sales and marketing management in Ericsson. In addition, almost 27% of Thai tablet users have indicated that they are watching TV or video content on their tablet, while 32% of Thai smartphone users have said that they are using video streaming on the device. “Over the last couple of years, Ericsson Thailand has emerged as the technology partner of choice of our local customers. I am looking forward to working closely with our customers to continue Ericsson’s success in the Thai market," Camilla shared. Ericsson has played a key role in the Thai telecommunications industry since it established its local presence 107 years ago, supplying the first Ericsson local battery telephone system with a 100-subscriber capacity in Bangkok. Since then, Ericsson has continued its growth in Thailand, bringing world-class telecommunications technology to the Thai market, and this year announced the acquisition of local systems integration specialist, TeleOSS, to further extend local capabilities. -KPA- Click for photo release at www.thaipr.net
