Ericsson IPX paves the way for global marketing Thai content providers can now market their services globally

Bangkok--Aug 19--Ericsson (Thailand)

Content providers in Thailand can now distribute and sell their services globally by signing up with Ericsson IPX. Connected to mobile operators in Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas, Ericsson IPX allows content providers to offer their services to consumers globally, through one single integration. IPX enables content providers to provide mobile premium and non-premium services via SMS, MMS and WAP Pensasithorn Yongudomkij, Vice President of Ericsson Thailand says “IPX offers content providers a cost efficient and reliable environment for payment where they can concentrate on developing more innovative applications for the consumers.” “IPX helps decrease the content provider’s operating costs by interacting directly with the billing systems of each mobile operator to disburse payments to the individual content providers,” she explains, adding that before IPX, content providers had to establish individual agreements and integrations with each operator in each market that they wanted to be present. Ericsson's IPX service facilitates the payment and distribution of mobile content while seamlessly interconnecting content providers and mobile operators. IPX handles the payments by making use of the existing financial relationship between operators and consumers. Consumers, on the other hand, will gain access to a broad portfolio of new and exciting digital content, and will have peace of mind knowing there is a secure and reliable charging environment supporting their purchases over their mobile phones. Ericsson Thailand stands ready to support Thai content providers who are interested to market their services globally. The content providers who can benefit from Ericsson IPX solution include mobile content providers & aggregators, Internet portals & e-commerce providers, consumer product companies & retailers, advertising agencies & marketing companies, media & entertainment companies, banks and financial service providers and logistics and transportation companies. Ericsson IPX is available to more than 440 million mobile subscribers in 16 countries, with new markets being added monthly. Ericsson IPX is a non-branded, white-label service that comprises billing and mobile connectivity via SMS, MMS and WAP. Ericsson is shaping the future of Mobile and Broadband Internet communications through its continuous technology leadership. Providing innovative solutions in more than 140 countries, Ericsson is helping to create the most powerful communication companies in the world.
