Taiwanese WiMAX Operator Chooses Comptel Dynamic OSS for Mediation

The operator is one of 6 operators to have been granted a WiMAX license in Taiwan, and hopes to be the first to launch commercial services in early 2009. Competition for broadband services is already quite intense in Taiwan, with some mobile vendors having launched mobile broadband offerings. In order to gain a foothold, the WiMAX operator needs an infrastructure that allows a fast time-to-market

The WiMAX operator chose Comptel, in partnership with Comware, to deliver the solution they needed. Comptel was able to demonstrate that Comptel Convergent Mediation Solution would be able to offer the flexibility and reliability required to support the WiMAX operator's on-going business plans.

Comptel Convergent Mediation Solution will be used to collect service usage information from the WiMAX network, and to forward it to the Comware billing solution.
