Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) has announced its 2025 SME Banking Group strategies, reinforcing its commitment to the 3GO strategies including 'GO Green, GO Digital, and GO Beyond'. Krungsri SME balances credit growth with asset quality while offering solutions for ESG-compliant business practices. The Bank helps SME businesses adopt digital technology and develop platforms to unlock new business opportunities and boost competitiveness. Additionally, Krungsri remains dedicated to customer engagement through proactive consultations and tailored financial solutions that support businesses at every stage of growth.
Miss Duangkamol Limpuangthip, Krungsri Head of SME Banking Group, said, "Over the past year, Thailand's economy has faced significant challenges, particularly high household debt and uneven sectoral growth, both of which have directly impacted SME operations and expansion, and we believe that vulnerabilities still remain. Krungsri remains committed to standing alongside SME customers by providing tailored financial solutions, remedial measures, and initiatives that restore business opportunities and drive sustainable growth. In addition, we continue to enhance our approach to sustainability across both financial and environmental dimensions, ensuring responsible lending practices, to empower SME with confidence in their long-term success. As of 2024, the SME outstanding loan portfolio exceeded 337,264 million baht."
As for the business direction and strategies in 2025, the Bank remains focused on advancing the success of its 3GO strategies, building on the strong foundation established in the previous year.
GO Green: Last year, Krungsri introduced a range of SME Sustainable Finance products to support business owners within the ESG framework. These products include loans for businesses involved in manufacturing, installation, trading, or providing solutions that promote sustainability (Krungsri SME Transition Loan); loans for companies investing in solar power production and sales (Krungsri SME for PPA); loans for businesses aiming to invest in environmental management (Krungsri SME Sustainability Businesses); and loans for installing rooftop solar systems (Krungsri SME Solar Rooftop). However, research shows many entrepreneurs still face gaps in knowledge and understanding of ESG principles. In 2025, Krungsri will strengthen its advisory services while continuing to raise awareness on ESG's importance through a series of key initiatives, including Krungsri ESG Academy - the second edition, Krungsri ESG Awards 2025, which is being held for the third consecutive year, and the Krungsri-MUFG Sustainability Forum.
GO Digital: Krungsri has been at the forefront of developing digital products and services to support SME customers across all business sizes. Over the past year, this commitment has led to a 70% increase in transaction volume through Krungsri Biz Online, the digital banking service for businesses. Krungsri has enhanced the Krungsri Supply Chain and Banking Solution, streamlining financial transactions for the real estate sector, and improving operational efficiency. Looking ahead to 2025, Krungsri will continue to drive digital innovation with the development of "Krungsri The Living Room…One Place for Business". This portal platform will serve as a centralized hub, integrating banking solutions, real-time exchange rates, ESG knowledge, and essential business insights, enabling SME to conveniently access critical financial products and services in one place.
GO Beyond: Krungsri continues to empower SME customers in expanding their businesses both domestically and internationally by leveraging regional and cooperation networks and international trade service solutions. Over the past year, the Krungsri Business Link platform, which matches businesses both domestically and internationally, has expanded its membership base to over 9,000 companies, facilitating more than 254 business matchmaking negotiations. In 2025, Krungsri will further accelerate market expansion opportunities by expanding international trade loans, with a particular focus on new customers in high-growth industries such as agriculture, food and beverage, electronics and semiconductors. The bank will also enhance digital international transaction services by improving accessibility and expanding features on Krungsri TradeLink and Krungsri CashLink, making cross-border transactions more seamless and efficient.
"Amid the global economic uncertainties in 2025, the Thai economy continues to show gradual growth. Thai SME entrepreneurs still face structural challenges domestically, coupled with rapid shifts in global trends. In this dynamic landscape, we remain committed to ensuring the stability of SME lending by maintaining a strategic balance between growth and asset quality. Our approach focuses on close collaboration with customers through on-site visits and proactive consultations, enabling us to jointly plan risk management and strategies and provide tailored financial solutions that meet their evolving needs. We also prioritize revolving loans to enhance liquidity and support business expansion. Furthermore, Krungsri remains committed to building lasting relationships as trusted partner, standing side by side with Thai SME entrepreneurs and empowering them toward stable and sustainable growth in an ever-changing business environment." Miss Duangkamol concluded.
