BANGKOK INDUSTRIAL GAS (BIG) OPEN THE BIGGEST HYDROGEN PLANT OF Bt 500M INVESTMENT VALUE REINFORCING ITS LEADING POSITION IN HYDROGEN INNOVATION

Bangkok Industrial Gas (BIG) today officially opens its new hydrogen plant in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong. With the production capacity of 13,000 Nm3/hr, making BIG become the largest hydrogen producer in Thailand with the total capacity of up to 20,000 Nm3/hr. BIG has allocated more than 500 million baht to build this plant which features advanced technology from the US, to reinforce its leading position as biggest hydrogen supplier in the country. Main clients are oil refineries, in which hydrogen can help purify oil to cope with Euro 4 standard, as well as producers of automobile, electronics, steel, petrochemicals, chemicals, and food & beverage.
