Bangkok Industrial Gas Co., Ltd. (BIG), the country industrial gas leader who supplies oxygen and develops innovative solution to serve petrochemical industry and medical units in Thailand, led by Mr. Piyabut Charuphen, Managing Director (second from right) has recently donated 400,000 kilograms of highly purified oxygen gas and two ozone generators worth at 15 million baht for MWA’s tap water treatment project to Mr. Charoen Passara, (third from right), the Governor of Metropolitan Waterworks Authority along with Associate Professor Dr. Kitti Tirasesth (fourth from right), President King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and the management of BIG and MWA. This support is one of BIG CSR intending to provide the highly purified oxygen gas and ozone generators to MWA for free of charge in the two-month trial period. The ozone technology for water treatment has been widely used among Western countries due to its proven ability to reduce color and odor problems. In addition, the usage of highly purified oxygen gas for ozone production will have up to 5 times more efficient than using normal oxygen in the air.
