Jetstar celebrates carrying 100 millionth passenger Lucky passenger at Changi Airport wins family holiday The Jetstar Group today celebrated carrying 100 million passengers since commencing operations in 2004. Jetstar Asia and Valuair CEO Barathan Pasupathi said this was an impressive milestone in the Group’s short history. “We are delighted to celebrate the Group’s milestone of 100 million passengers,” Mr Pasupathi said. “Our rapid growth shows the popularity of the Jetstar brand and the high quality service provided to our passengers.” To celebrate, Mr Pasupathi surprised a lucky passenger at Changi Airport with a family holiday to the value of SGD$5,000. “We wish to thank all of our passengers for the confidence they have shown in Jetstar,” Mr Pasupathi said. “We began flying in and out of Singapore in December 2004 to offer more choices and lower fares for travellers. “Jetstar Asia has now become part of one of the fastest growing airline brands in the world and is delivering low fares millions of people from our region each year,” he said. To celebrate the milestone, Jetstar is running Facebook competitions and giving away spot prizes of Jetstar flights worth over SGD$125,000 across the group’s network.
