NEW PAKISTANI TV CHANNEL CHOOSES THAICOM 3 Roshni TV will offer comprehensive programming in Pakistan

Nonthaburi, Thailand: Shin Satellite Plc. (SATTEL) today announced that the Company has just signed a transponder leasing and teleport services contract with Direct Media Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd. (DMC), from Pakistan. A DMC television station, Roshni TV, will become the first, news, infotainment and educational programming channel based Pakistan. Thaicom 3 will transmit Roshni TV programs throughout Pakistan and other countries using its C-Band global beam. Roshni TV will also use the world class facilities at the Thaicom Teleport and DTH Center, Pathum Thani Province, Thailand. “When choosing our satellite partner, we look for the best quality of service with value for money. We decided to use Shin Satellite as it provides us with complete, one-stop-shop transponder and teleport services at a reasonable price. In addition, the Thaicom-3 satellite is currently a hotbird platform in Pakistan with a large viewer base. We will broadcast using digital channel compression from the Thaicom Teleport Center.” said Moshin Mukhi, Director of Operations of Direct Media Corporation (Pvt.)
