The Thai Robotics Society (TRS), the Institute of FIeld roBOtics (FIBO), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi partner with the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) and Seagate Technology (Thailand) Limited, in holding the final round contest of Thailand Humanoid Robot Soccer Championship 2010.
Thailand Humanoid Robot Soccer Championship is held for the first time in Thailand. The contest helps to develop the capabilities of Thai university students in robotics technology and automation as well as prepare universities in Thailand to carry on advanced robotics project. The winning team will represent Thailand in World Robocup Soccer: Humanoid League in Singapore this June.
A humanoid robot will have a head, torso, two arms and two legs, along with advanced technologies such as electronic vision systems, wireless communications and built-in artificial intelligence. Each team of students must create two robots; the winner is based on the total number of goals scored.
The final round of Thailand Humanoid Robot Soccer Championship 2010 will be held on Sunday, April 4 this year at 13.30 – 17.30 hrs. at Pantip Hall, the 1st Floor, Pantip Plaza, Pratunum.
