Fly in comfort to 36 European destinations from 49,000 baht*
Travel periods include Christmas and New Year
Scandinavian Airlines in Thailand has launched special prices of 49,000 baht* for a roundtrip Economy Extra and 69,000 baht* for Business Class to 36 northern European cities. The booking period starts Tuesday, 15 September and only lasts until 5 October. Travel dates can be anytime from 20 September 2009 until 31 January 2010, including Christmas and New Year.
The 36 destinations include major urban gateways in Scandinavia, Germany and Belgium such as Berlin, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Hannover, Hamburg, Brussels, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. Also included in the 36 destinations are 26 smaller towns and cities across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
"The inclusion of Christmas and New Year in the offer means that expat families in Thailand can travel home comfortably and affordably at a peak travel period," said Mr Hakan Olsson, Director and General Manager for SAS in Southeast Asia. "It also means Thai tourists can fly in style to enjoy the classic winter festivals and hospitality that Scandinavia is famous for."
Passengers who fly in SAS Economy Extra class enjoy a separate cabin and a range of business benefits such as audio and video on demand, a wider seat, enhanced dining options, and night flights both ways.
Travellers who prefer SAS Business Class can also stretch out in a near-horizontal sleeping seat and enjoy a 26cm personal screen, superior meal service, a unique in-flight buffet bar, and business lounge facilities at the airport.
The EuroBonus points are 150% for Economy Extra and 200% for Business class.

Scandinavian Airlines
Scandinavian Airlines is the Northern Europe's largest airline focusing on services, reliability, and simplicity. We fly five weekly flights from Bangkok to Copenhagen in summer and six flights a week in winter. Our extensive network provides convenient connections to Scandinavian and European destinations from Copenhagen airport.
Onboard SAS' modern and spacious Airbus A340s, there are a number of specific features, for example, personal entertainment screens across all classes. SAS is also one of few airlines to offer a premium economy product, Economy Extra. In a separate cabin, Economy Extra passengers enjoy wider and more comfortable seats than in Economy, extended meal services, Business class check-in and priority boarding. SAS Business Sleeper offers the highest levels of comfort with lie-flat seats, the popular buffet bar with drinks, snacks and espresso machine, and a spacious restroom with feature windows.
SAS has introduced a new fare structure offering simplicity, flexibility and better value for money. New lower-priced Fixed tickets reward early bookings. Flexible tickets can be either changed or refunded at a cost. And Fully Flexible tickets offer passengers tickets with no restrictions. Best of all, we offer full combinability -- the possibility to mix the three service classes and the three fare types of your choice.
Background
Operations to Bangkok were commenced in 1949. In 1959, SAS co-founded Thai Airways International Ltd., with the Thai Government through Airways Co., Ltd. (TAC) holding 70% shares and SAS 30%. SAS supplied aircraft, management and training to the Thais in order to build THAI into an international reputable airline. SAS's 30% shareholding was released back to Thai Government in 1977, but the close co-operation has continued. Both SAS and THAI are founding members of Star Alliance, comprising 21 international world-class airlines.
