One of the world’s leading providers of IP network solutions, Allied Telesyn announced its readiness to penetrate the Thai networking market in 2006, starting with the launch of two wireless solutions including Secure IP and Mobile IP solutions.
Mr. Teerayut Hongkananukraw, Thailand Country Manager, Allied Telesyn International (Asia) Pte., Ltd. Stated “This year, Allied Telesyn is ready to attack networking market in Thailand with focus on four key solutions including Secure IP solutions, Mobile IP solutions, Voice over IP technology and the i-Net solution.
In Q1, the key focus will be on Wireless solutions with the introduction of Secure IP and Mobile IP as Allied Telesyn projects that the wireless LAN market will be expanding year after year along with the rapid spread of broadband infrastructure. Meanwhile, technical innovations in broadband wireless LAN and a movement for standardization are progressing. It is expected that the market will grow through further product/ service/
technology innovation in the future.
As part of its continual development and research, Allied Telesyn foresees the upcoming trend of Mobile IP solutions that will take off in Thailand in the near future. Among the countries currently implementing Mobile IP solutions is Hong Kong, where the subway to HongKong Disneyland is installed with high-speed wireless equipment along the route with security cameras in all trains to ensure passenger's safety. In case of emergencies, the network center can alert the related parties for immediate action. Moreover, the Mobile IP solutions allows Internet access for tourists or passengers with wireless notebooks on the trains.
Allied Telesyn's marketing strategy for 2006 in Thailand, will focus on monthly technology updates for its partners and regular seminars and roadshows for customers. The markets outside Bangkok are also promising as there is increasing usage of network equipment and the company has plans to capture this market.
Currently, Allied Telesyn markets its products and solutions through three distributors including M.V.T. Communications Public Co.,Ltd., Technology Devices Co.,Ltd. (a subsidiary of CDG Group) and D Computer Co.,Ltd. The key market focus for this year will be on the government, education and industry sectors.
Mr. Teerayut concluded “The trend of the network market in Thailand will grow continuously as the government sector will still give highest priority to long-term investment for network systems while the private sector will focus more on return-on-investment of IT systems. We project sales growth of 50% by the end of this year with confidence in the company’s strengths such as reliable hardware with superior performance, technological expertise enriched by worldwide R&D Centers and the highest priority towards business partnership.”
