Allied Telesyn, the global end-to-end networking solutions vendor, today introduced new product AT-AR750S is designed to cater for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) or corporate branch offices and it provides comprehensive security in one package. The router comes with hardware-based IPSec VPN encryption to provide secure remote access to the corporate network for business travellers and teleworkers, allowing them safe access to data as though within their own office. With the encryption/decryption already built into the hardware, the CPU of the router is freed up to handle other tasks and the need for additional equipment or software is eliminated. Security is added with traffic filtering and control, HTTP and SMTP proxies for web and email communications as well as Allied Telesyn's Stateful Inspection firewall. The Stateful Inspection firewall of the AT-AR750S is the fastest in its range where the firewall inspection, NAT and QoS perform at >50Mb @ 64 byte packets or >20Mb @ 72 byte packets including IPSec VPN with AES 256-bit encryption. Very few other secure routers can match this capability. This allows for secure site-to-site VPNs over multiple WAN interfaces while still maintaining firewall protection for multiple LAN ports.
Allied Telesyn's AT-AR750S is IPv6 ready. Forward-looking SMEs can ready their networks for the future by installing IPv6-ready products such as Allied Telesyn's AT-AR750S. These ensure that when the SMEs are ready to embrace IPv6, they do not need to overhaul their network with heavy investments.
